New asthma guidelines have been published by NICE/BTS/SIGN. These new clinical guidelines include significant changes in inhaler prescribing practices, for example the move away from SABA-only prescribing towards alternative regimes such as ICS plus formoterol. The implementation of these new guidelines will support clinicians and systems to deliver better asthma outcomes for patients.
