The MMRV vaccine now replaces the MMR vaccine in the routine schedule for children and is given at 12 months and 18 months. Some children may also receive MMRV at three years four months, depending on the child’s date of birth. There will be a single dose catch-up programme scheduled from November for those aged three years four months to under six years old at the start of the programme.
A primary care communications toolkit is available with all the details, eligibility and communications assets to roll out the vaccine in practice.
