Understanding Profitability Course Description:
This four hour course will give you the insight to:
- Why Formulary is essential to profitability
- Personally Administered Items- how to identify them & the basic VAT knowledge needed in the Dispensary
- Why stock control is essential to profitability
- What to look for in controlling your stock and how to implement ideas
- How to identify avoidable losses
- How to improve cash flow
- Where and how to make your buying decisions
- Smart purchasing and discount schemes
- Important key skills and knowledge to successfully manage and increase your dispensary income

Controlled Drugs Course Description:
By the end of this four hour course you will have achieved an understanding of:
- Controlled Drugs legislation & classification
- Policies & SOP’s
- The CD Register- how to complete it correctly
- Correction of errors, ensuring safety & legal requirements
- Patients returns recording & destruction
- Dealing with the receipt, supply & destruction
- CD storage and travelling with CD’s plus prescription writing requirements
- Process of ordering
- Requisition & supplier requirements
- How to identify discrepancies, reporting or whistleblowing
