The Category M price of Dapagliflozin 10mg for September is £30.15 (after clawback- £26.83). The best
generic acquisition cost as of 12th September (using e-CASS) is £10.80. So far so good for profitability
on the generic. We can, however, expect quite a big drop in reimbursement when the October Category
M prices are published.
This will put a greater squeeze on profit. The branded Forxiga does give a lower profit at present, but
over time it might provide a better profit and consistency of price and supply. Something to keep
